Dead Air Republic hail from Ottawa, Canada, a country where most bands either make it big or remain underground throughout their careers. Dead Air Republic are sure to be one of the bands that make it from underground to stages across the globe. With such a diverse sound they are sure to find fans from most of the Metal genres.

The track Example 1 ranges from Soundgarden to Black Label Society. Marc’s vocals are intense, powerful. The guitars are crisp, hard and chug along like a crazy train. The harmonies and breaks are perfectly orchestrated to compliment Marc’s vocals. The backbone section work like a well oiled machine driving the track to its destination. This track certainly has a lot of potential, the catchy hooks and riffs stick with you after listening, an absolute eargasm of a track.

The waves is another favourite of mine from this six track EP. Slightly mellower than the previous track, yet very powerful. Once again excellent vocal display by Marc. The overall vibe I’m getting from this is Black Sabbath’s Planet Caravan mixed with Judas Priest Screaming For Vengeance album, but with modern day spin. Very classic metal driven. Awesome track.

Good At Never is another track worth mentioning. It further displays how talented Dead Air Republic are. Taking more of a Stoner Rock inspiration. Excellent guitar solo on this track.

To sum up this awesome follow up to their debut EP from the Canadian Metalheads. The band truly know where the roots of Metal are, and have taken this knowledge and paid homage in an outstanding way. This EP is hopefully going to be the start of something huge for the band. Their ability to genre-hop at will is an amazing talent.

Dead Air Republic are sure to be found on many playlists throughout the metal community very soon.
