Kieran Roberston is a young lad from Glasgow, who has done an great deal in his short career thus far. He started his musical journey at the tender age of 14, writing his own lyrics and discovering his own sound.

Kieran’s new album In The Name Of Vanity contains 9 tracks of heavy Gothic laden metal. His style of music could be described as a blend of Marilyn Manson, Stone Sour, Sisters Of Mercy, 90’s era Metallica with some modern metal elements thrown in for good measure. Some of the tracks on the album In The Name Of Vanity lean toward a ballad style,  but still have excellent riffs and a heavy groove. one track that is an ear-worm is Addicted to this life. It has a very catchy, uptempo beat and hook lines that melt themselves into your ears. The chorus also embeds itself firmly into the brain. The lyrics are something everyone can identify with with ease. Forever is yet another track that somehow creeps it’s way in. It reminds me of Slipknot’s Snuff, it has the same kinda vibe loaded with emotion and yet aggressive. A very well constructed track. It will be interesting to see how far Kieran can take his musical career. Judging by this album, I’m sure he’ll be around for a very long time.

If you are a fan of Manson, Stone Sour style Rock/Metal or Gothic Metal then you simply have to check out Kieran Robertson’s  In The Name Of Vanity album. He is definitely a name to look out for in the future.
